Wonderful Herb Turmeric to help fight cellulite

Nature offers so many ingredients that can benefit the overall health of our skin, and turmeric is no exception. When it comes to treating cellulite, turmeric is a key ingredient in my Firming Body Butter because it contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce the appearance of cellulite and preserve the integrity of the skin.

What Causes Cellulite?

Cellulite is caused by a number of factors, some we can control, like diet and lifestyle choices, and some we can’t, like genetics, age, hormones, and even our environment to an extent. When we are stressed, tired, eat poorly, and are exposed to toxic environmental stressors known as free radicals (such as cigarette smoking, air pollution or chemicals), our bodies produce and absorb toxins. These toxins are both dissolved in and stored in fat cells. Healthy fat cells are round and allow the skin above them to lay smooth. However, when our bodies are overwhelmed by toxins, fat cells become unhealthy, lose their tidy shape, and begin to bulge which is what causes the bumps on the outside of the skin that we know of as cellulite. Similarly, free radicals cause damage to collagen, the protein that provides structure to the skin.

Turmeric as a Cellulite Treatment

In addition to staying hydrated, eating healthy, and staying active, we can also rely on turmeric, one of nature’s most powerful ingredients, for treating cellulite. As an antioxidant and an anti-inflammatory, turmeric can help reduce the appearance of cellulite, as well as preserve the integrity of the skin by preventing collagen damage and the formation of wrinkles.

Turmeric is a warm spice, part of the ginger family, that you may be familiar with as an ingredient used for cooking. In particular, turmeric gives curry its delicious flavor and vibrant yellow color. Not only does turmeric offer a boost of flavor and color to your food, it also boosts your blood and lymph circulation to promote cell detoxification. Through detoxification, fat cells can maintain their healthy shape and collage damage can be prevented, keeping skin smooth and healthy.

Additionally, as an antioxidant turmeric’s anti-inflammatory properties help reduce signs of aging by keeping the skin from overstretching which causes wrinkles.

Turmeric is one of the primary ingredients in my best selling Firming Body Butter because it does the work of flushing out toxins and helps maintain the integrity of the skin. You can more efficiently reduce the appearance of cellulite when you pair dry brushing with the use of my Firming Body Butter.
